Himanta Biswa Sarma attacks Rahul Gandhi for joining farmers: ‘Desire of Prince’

On Sunday, BJP leaders published a behind-the-scenes video of Rahul Gandhi spending time with farmers, including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said farmers were heckled to pose as farmers for Rahul Gandhi's photos

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, paid an impromptu visit to the village of Madina in Haryana's Sonipat district on Saturday and was observed interacting with the farmers there. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, mocked Rahul Gandhi by posting a video of the cameraman filming him walking through knee-deep water in an agricultural field and said, "The Prince's sudden desire and desperation to get real is laughable!"

"But for God's sake, do not diminish the dignity of our Annadatas in your haste to be caught on camera by your picture and video team. It is disgusting, Mr. Gandhi, to heckle farmers in an attempt to pass for one. Without the Reels, get real," Himanta tweeted.

The same video was released on the BJP's official Twitter account, where Rahul Gandhi was referred to as a "self-engrossed farmer" for planting paddy in front of four or five cameras. "Camerajeevi kisan Rahul Gandhi," tweeted the BJP account. In response to the camera jab, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate tweeted: "Irony declared dead."

Rahul Gandhi is surrounded by a group of cameramen in the video that the BJP leaders released the day after Rahul Gandhi's visit. They also walked carefully while Rahul Gandhi took pictures with the farmers.

Rahul Gandhi was dubbed "publicity jeevi" by CT Ravi of the BJP, and he claimed that no matter how hard his ecosystem tries, it will not be able to rebuild the "Dynast." When Rahul is actually just attempting to deceive the public, it is amusing to see him try to demonstrate his concern for the average person. Despite serving as Amethi's MP for over 15 years, Rahul was unable to transform the district into a model one. As a result, he was beaten by Smt. @smritiirani, which forced him to flee to Wayanad. "@RahulGandhi will end up making a bigger fool of himself with every such attempt to fool Bharatiyas," CT Ravi tweeted while posting the same video.

On Saturday morning, Rahul Gandhi paid a visit to the village and stayed there for around 2.5 hours. Along with mingling with the locals, he also tried his hand at sowing paddy and operating a tractor. At the field, he also consumed food. While the Congress MLA from Sonipat's Gohana said he had no knowledge that Rahul Gandhi would be visiting, several other Congress leaders shared the images.

Rahul Gandhi recently engaged in a number of public outreach projects while speaking with truck drivers about their issues.
