The Opposition is trying to iron out their differences and project a united front in next year's general elections. At a meeting today in Bengaluru, top leaders from 24 opposition parties are expected to develop a strategy to compete with the BJP in the forthcoming Monsoon Session of the parliament and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The opposition leaders are anticipated to undertake discussions to resolve their disagreements and show a united face for the general elections in the following year. According to reports, there is a suggestion to form a subcommittee for the Opposition coalition to write a single minimum platform and communication points for the general elections in 2024. Also on the agenda is a name suggestion from the opposition leaders. A Delhi court denies bail to an accused loan fraudster because it "erodes public trust"

The Enforcement Directorate claimed the accused caused a loss of over ₹ 30 crore.    New Delhi :   In a money laundering case involving an accused bank loan scam, a court in this country denied bail to a defendant, stating that such "unscrupulous shenanigans" undermine public trust and destroy the foundations of the economy. Bharat Rana Chaudhary's request for bail was denied by Special Judge Neelofer Abida Perveen, who described his method as "sinister" and claimed that he was "prima facie" tampering with the evidence and fabricating evidence. According to the ED, Chaudhary's failure to make credit repayments from 2010 to 2012 cost Punjab National Bank around 30 crore rupees. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the flood relief camp in a school at Mori Gate to assess the situation and provide support to the victims affected by the recent floods in low-lying areas around Yamuna, in New Delhi(HT photo)         Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, said on Sunday that each flood-affected family would receive a 10,000Rupees. "Several low-income families that lived close to the Yamuna River experienced severe losses.Some families lost all they owned, even their homes. The Congress announced on Sunday that it won't back the Center's ordinance on control of services in the national capital, providing a significant boost for the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.
