PM Modi at BJP Parliamentary board meeting
Insulting the opposition alliance India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Tuesday that the use of the country's name alone cannot fool people. He listed organizations like the Popular Front of India and the East India Company.
According to sources quoting Modi, in his speech to the BJP parliamentary party, he claimed that the opposition is angry and unhappy and that their actions demonstrate that they have decided to stay in the opposition.
He predicted that India's economy will grow to the third largest during his government's next term and expressed confidence that the BJP would win the 2024 elections with backing from the electorate.
According to insiders, when opposition parties began uniting under the banner of their "INDIA," Modi retaliated by alleging that this was merely an effort to deceive the public.
To illustrate the argument that simply including the term "India" in their nomenclature does not change anything, he used the names of a number of organizations.
In the meantime, the opposition alliance, I.N.D.I.A, is rumored to be considering introducing a no-confidence resolution against the federal government in the Lok Sabha despite the deadlock in Parliament over their demands relating to the violence in Manipur.
Sources claim that at their meeting on Tuesday in New Delhi, the Opposition discussed a plan to introduce a no-confidence resolution against the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
