Regarding PM Modi's jab during a conference in Patna, TMC claims that "You are leading the largest opposition party."

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is referred to by the TMC as the head of the "largest opposition party," and the TMC has stated that it opposes preserving federalism and fostering democracy.


TMC's dig at PM Modi: On July 1, the Trinamool Congress referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the head of the "largest opposition parties" and claimed that the BJP is "against" promoting democracy, upholding federalism, and regulating prices.

This comes after PM Modi unleashed a harsh attack on the opposition parties today during a rally in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh.

"Those (opposition parties) who wish to unite have been posting frequently on social media. The Opposition's meeting on June 23 in Patna, which the Prime Minister mentioned at the rally, was simply intended to advance dynastic politics, he claimed.





TMC responds

Derek O'Brien, a TMC member, responded to Prime Minister Modi by claiming that his party is not a "opposition party" and that the BJP is the "largest opposition party."

"Mr. Prime Minister, these are NOT the 'opposition parties'! You are the charge of the biggest "opposition party." Your party is against giving work to young people. against the support of democracy. opposed to the maintenance of federalism. opposed to pricing controls," he tweeted.

 

 


Opposition meeting in Patna

The BJP, including its high leadership, has been interrogating the opposition regarding a large gathering in Patna at Nitish Kumar's residence, the chief minister of Bihar.

At the meeting to plan a strategy to unseat the BJP administration at the center in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, more than 15 political parties took part.

The gathering included representatives from a number of parties, including Congress, AAP, NCP, SP, Shiv Sena (UBT), PDP, and NC. The opposition's next gathering, which was originally scheduled to take place in Shimla, will instead take place on July 13 and 14 in Bengaluru.
