Regarding the alleged use of its brand logo on posters, PhonePe responds to the Madhya Pradesh Congress and threatens legal action.

Posters featuring Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, which purportedly say, pay 50 per cent (commission) & get your work done, have been put up in Gwalior

"PhonePe objects to the unlicensed use of its trademark logo by any third party, whether they are involved in politics or not. We have no affiliation with any political cause or group, PhonePe stated in a tweet.

In response to what it claimed to be "unauthorised usage" of its logo by the Madhya Pradesh Congress, fintech services provider PhonePe indicated it may pursue legal action.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, is depicted in posters that purport to read: "Pay 50% (commission) and get your work done." These posters have been placed across Gwalior town. In addition to Bhopal, these posters were also visible in Chindwara, Rewa, Satna, and other cities before being taken down by the administration.

The posters resemble the QR code sheets that fintech businesses use to receive payments online. The word "PhonePe" was prominently displayed on top of the posters.

"PhonePe objects to the unauthorized usage of its brand logo, by any third party, be it political or non-political. We are not associated with any political campaign or party," PhonePe posted on its Twitter handle.

"Our company's trademark, the PhonePe logo, is registered, and any unauthorised use of PhonePe's intellectual property rights will result in legal action. We sincerely urge that Madhya Pradesh Congress take down the posters and banners that feature our brand logo and colour, the statement read, tagging the official Twitter account of the party in the state.

The police are currently searching for the unidentified individuals who put the posters after a FIR was filed against them at the Padav Police Station.

According to Rajesh Singh Chandel, SP Gwalior, a BJP member complained that his party was being disparaged, and on the basis of that, a case was filed against an unidentified person, and an investigation was started.
