All 4 accused sent to 11-day police custody in Manipur viral video incident: Report
All four accused, who were allegedly part of a mob that paraded and assaulted three women naked have been remanded to a 11-day police custody.

According to ANI, citing Manipur police, the four apprehended suspects, who were allegedly a part of a crowd that paraded and abused three ladies after stripping them on May 4, have been remanded to 11-day police detention. The suspects were taken into custody by the police on Thursday after a frightening incidental video went viral on social media.
More arrests are expected, according to police, since the investigation team has found at least eight additional males who were part in the incident.
The incident that caused such uproar across the country occurred 77 days ago. According to the police, there has been a "lack of evidence" and they have "could not take any action" as of yet, according to the Indian Express.
Main accused's house burnt down
On Thursday, a mob set fire to the home of one of the defendants, who was visible in the terrible viral video of naked women being paraded across Manipur. According to reports, Huirem Herodas Meitei, the primary accused, owned the home. A group of protesters, largely women, were seen setting the accused's home on fire in several allegedly recorded web videos.
Manipur CM on viral video incident
On Friday, N Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur, denounced the occurrence and declared that "Manipur society is against crime against women."
They regard women as being their mothers. We have started nationwide rallies of disapproval in the valley and the hills in response to the viral video that has damaged the state's reputation. People are protesting the occurrence across the state and calling for the most severe penalty to be meted out to the offenders. This demonstration is in support of the government's efforts to punish the accused, the man stated.
