BJP sharpens attack on Thackeray over ‘kalank’ jibe, Fadnavis says ‘he needs psychiatrist’
In response to Uddhav Thackeray's criticism, Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, stated that the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT) needs to see a doctor.
Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharastra, responded to Uddhav Thackeray's remark about the Shiv Sena's (UBT) leader being "tainted" by saying that Thackeray needs to see a doctor and that he would not respond to a comment made in such a mental state.
On Monday, Uddhav Thackeray claimed that Fadnavis was a "kalank" (taint) on his native Nagpur because, despite vowing never to, he had allied with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Thackeray explained to party members in Nagpur that Fadnavis's "no" actually meant "yes" by playing an old audio tape of him saying he would never cooperate with the NCP.
"Devendra Fadnavis' situation has gotten so bizarre that it is unbearable and indescribable; he once said, 'I will come again.'"However, he also brought two other persons. These two people, who are they?"Devendra Fadnavis is a stain on Nagpur," the former chief minister of Maharashtra declared.
The BJP responded strongly to Thackeray's remark, with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is also from Nagpur, adding that such low-level personal accusations are in appropriate for the state's political culture.
