 Mukesh Ambani’s Rs 17.69 trillion firm partners with Mercedes-Benz’s sister company, unveils hydrogen-powered coach .


Over the years, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries has collaborated with a wide range of businesses to create and manufacture cutting-edge technologies for the general public. On that note, Reliance Industries unveiled India's first intercity luxury concept coach driven by hydrogen fuel cell technology in collaboration with BharatBenz, a division of Mercedes-Benz's sister business Daimler Truck AG.


With a market cap of Rs 17.69 trillion, Reliance Industries is the most valuable corporation in India, and its relationship with BharatBenz for the next generation of public transportation will benefit the Indian economy significantly. 


According to Nitin Seth, CEO of Reliance Industries' New Mobility division, "This luxury intercity coach is powered by a Fuel cell system, which is designed and developed by Reliance Industries, using state-of-the-art components from international partners with significant localization."


Bharat and Reliance IndustriesThe new diesel bus from Benz has a gross system power of 127 Kw and a net power of 105 Kw, both of which are comparable to contemporary diesel buses for intercity purposes and provide 300 HP. The intercity bus can provide long distance transport between cities using sustainable fuels like hydrogen and can cover about 400 km on a single hydrogen fill. Over the following 12 months, the bus will go through comprehensive testing, validation, and safety testing.


It is noteworthy that earlier on February 6, at the India Energy Week in Bangalore, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) presented India's first hydrogen internal combustion engine technology solution for heavy-duty trucks.
