PM Modi's Twitter followers cross 90 million, more than Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak

The most following Indian on Twitter is PM Modi, who has 90.2 million followers. Twitter CEO Elon Musk, who has the most followers on the social networking site and follows a total of 195 people, is among his followers. On Twitter, Prime Minister Modi has 2,589 followers.
In 2009, when he was the chief minister of Gujarat, PM Modi joined Twitter as a part of his social media outreach. He attracted a lakh fans in just one year. The PM reached a 60 million-follower milestone on Twitter in July 2020.
PM Modi is the only Indian on the list of the top 10 people in the world who are most followed on Twitter, according to a list published by World of Statistics on its official Twitter account on July 9.

Former US President Donald Trump, who has 86.6 million followers, and American singer and actress Lady Gaga, who has 84.1 million followers, were both surpassed by PM Modi to claim the eighth spot on the list.
Former US President Barack Obama came in second with 132.1 million followers, followed by singer Justin Bieber with 11 million and famed footballer Cristiano Ronaldo with 108.9 million. Elon Musk topped the list with 147 million followers on the social networking platform.
Among other world leaders, US President Joe Biden has 37.3 million followers, while UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has 2 million.
