Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, stated on Wednesday that Ajit Pawar, a former NCP dissident who is now the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, should have to him if he had any issues. Sharad Pawar made his statement shortly after his nephew bluntly informed his estranged uncle that it was time for him to step down as leader of the NCP and pass the reins to him.
Sharad Pawar said to NCP leaders in Mumbai, "If Ajit Pawar had any concerns, he should have spoken to me. He could have come up to me if he had something to say.
The NCP veteran added that the party's election symbol is present and "it will not go anywhere."
According to reports, Ajit Pawar filed a petition with the Election Commission claiming ownership of the NCP and the party's logo. The Election Commission has also got a caution from Jayant Patil, who is a member of the Sharad Pawar faction, according to information from sources cited by news agency ANI. He also disclosed to the tribunal that nine MLAs who joined the Eknath Shinde-BJP government in the state on Sunday have been subject to a disqualification process.
The NCP president declared, "People and party workers who brought us to power are with us. We don't have a hunger for power and we will remain working for the people.
The senior Pawar further asserted that the MLAs who chose to split didn't take them into confidence. He claimed that the Ajit faction did not follow any protocol.
"(BJP) You said the NCP was corrupt. Therefore, why are you now allied with the NCP?In addition to criticizing the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sharad Pawar said, "Whatever happened to Uddhav Thackeray has been repeated."
"Everyone in the nation is watching us today...For NCP, this meeting is historic. Despite the obstacles in our path, we must continue moving forward, the NCP leader stated.
While Ajit Pawar was at a meeting of NCP MPs, MLAs, MLCs, district heads, and state delegates at Mumbai Education Trust (MET) Bandra, the NCP, led by Sharad Pawar, convened a gathering of its members at Mumbai's YB Chavan Auditorium.
The two factions announced important appointments to bolster their claim to control of the party, which prompted the parallel gatherings.
Ajit Pawar's NCP faction at MET Bandra has obtained papers from party members to prove their loyalty.
"You painted me in front of everyone as a villain. I still hold Sharad Pawar in the highest regard, remarked Ajit Pawar.
Leaders of the BJP retire at 75. You can look at LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi as examples. As a result, the younger generation can advance We have Sharad Pawar's blessing, Ajit Pawar stated.
"You're 83; shouldn't you be stopping by now? Give us your favor, and we'll pray for a long life for you, the deputy chief minister continued.
At the YB Chavan Center, Sharad Pawar supporters chanted his name.
Ajit Pawar's Sunday reversal of allegiance and appointment as Deputy Chief Minister in the Eknath Shinde-BJP cabinet set off the Nationalist Congress Party crisis. On Sunday, Pawar took the oath of office alongside eight additional NCP MLAs.
