Stones Thrown At Vande Bharat In UP Days After It Mows Down Goats

"The windowpanes of two coaches of the Vande Bharat Express were partially damaged as it passed through Sohawal area of Raunahi police station area here around 9 am on Tuesday," Inspector of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Sonu Kumar Singh said. 


Ayodhya,UP : Days after the train mowed down a herd of goats, a group of people hurled stones at the Vande Bharat Express close to here on Tuesday, breaking its windowpanes as they vented their rage, according to police. According to them, three persons have been detained in this matter.


The windowpanes of two coaches of the Vande Bharat Express were partially broken as it traveled through the Sohawal neighborhood of the Raunahi police station on Tuesday at 9 a.m., according to Inspector Sonu Kumar Singh of the Railway Protection Force (RPF).


On July 7, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the train that connects Gorakhpur and Lucknow.

According to Sonu Kumar Singh, the Ayodhya Cantt RPF post received information regarding the event. But the train kept going till it reached Lucknow, he said.

SSP (Ayodhya) R K Nayyar commented on the event, saying, "It was discovered during investigation that on Sunday, a herd of goats belonging to one Nanhu Paswan were killed after being struck by the Vande Bharat train as they were grazing on the railway track.

 Paswan and his friends decided to attack the train. He declared, "We have detained Paswan and his sons Ajay and Vijay in connection with this."
