"They Called People Just To Get Numbers": Nitish Kumar's Dig At NDA

The chief minister also dismissed speculation that he did not attend the press conference after the mega opposition meeting in Bengaluru because he was upset

Patna: Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, dispelled rumors that he skipped the news conference following the two-day mega opposition meeting in Bengaluru because he was angry by saying that the opposition is united and will fight for the good of the nation.

Additionally, he made fun of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for holding a meeting concurrent with that of the opposition parties and claimed that some of the 38 parties that attended were obscure.

At their meeting in Bengaluru, the 26 opposition parties decided to call their coalition the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) and to form an 11-person coordination committee. The panel's members will be chosen later.

The chief minister explained why he skipped the news conference during the opening of the Malmas Mela in Rajgir, Nalanda District, saying that it was becoming late and he wanted to be among the locals.

When reporters informed Mr. Kumar that BJP leaders were claiming he was furious, he responded, "That is trash.I desired to visit Rajgir. Never mind the BJP. It was not essential for me to attend the meeting or participate in the talks in order for me to address the media. I had an early departure. The conference went well, and choices were made by consensus.

"There were 26 parties in Bengaluru and 16 in Patna. We had a fruitful and useful conversation. We must continue to work together and advance, he added.

The chief minister was then informed that BJP leader and his former deputy Sushil Modi had expressed displeasure with the name INDIA. How does he know, Mr. Kumar shot back? Did he show up? This is the reason I say that people can say whatever they want.

The leader of Janata Dal (United) questioned the purpose of 38 parties attending the NDA summit. Check out the parties' names. Has an NDA meeting been scheduled before this?

According to Mr. Kumar, Atal Bihari Vajpayee established the NDA. Meetings used to take place at that time since the JDU was a component of the government, he continued.

Have such gatherings since taken place?Never do they. Since we did, they convened this meeting. To just collect phone numbers, they called people. The chief minister remarked that all of the parties present at our conference were well-known parties.

We pushed someone out and told him to either join us or leave, Mr. Kumar claimed in a subtly critical statement of Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha. He desired to remain at the conference so that he could then tell everyone.

When asked by reporters if he desired to lead the opposition alliance, the chief minister replied that he had no such "choice" and that his sole goals were to unite the opposition and advance the needs of the populace.

"Our outcome in 2024 will be fantastic. You can observe what the BJP is doing and how they are feeling. They are doing what they are because they are concerned about the work we are doing, according to Mr. Kumar.
