Two US nationals join J&K's Amarnath Yatra, call it a ‘dream come true’ | WATCH

The Americans said that "Swami Vivekananda's visit to the Amarnath Shrine" had inspired them and that they had been familiar with this tale for 40 years. 

            "it's impossible to describe our feeling to have come here,” one of the two US nationals said. (ANI)     

Two US citizens from California were seen on Tuesday traveling to Jammu and Kashmir for the Amarnath Yatra among thousands of other pilgrims. According to ANI, they claimed that going to the shrine had been a "dream come true" for them and that they had been waiting for this chance for a very long time.

"We've always wanted to visit the shrine. We had long-term plans to visit after watching YouTube videos about this yatra. In a video posted by the news agency ANI, the US nationals said, "Now, everything came into place, and we are here.

The yatra, which started on July 1, is a 62-day annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave shrine, which is situated in the south Kashmir Himalayas at an elevation of 3,888 meters.



One of the American visitors responded, "It's impossible to describe our feeling to have come here," when asked how they felt after viewing the location.

"Everything came together by Bholenath's grace, and we are here. We are overwhelmed with thanks for having traveled to Amarnath to receive the darshan, they continued.

They also gave the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board high marks, praising how well it had handled matters and how stunning the events held nearby were.

"This location, these mountains, and of course, that hallowed cave offer a certain type of peace. We hope that everyone can live in peace," one of them stated.

One of the foreigners responded, "The devotee of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, came to Amarnath, and he had a very important experience. " When asked what motivated them to participate in the Amarnath Yatra. This tale has been around for forty years.

He continued by saying that Swami Vivekananda saw Lord Shiva and that it was "very important."
On Tuesday afternoon, the Amarnath Yatra resumed from the Jammu base camp after being put on hold for three days as the Ramban part of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was being repaired.

A fresh set of pilgrims was given permission to continue their trek to the Amarnath cave sanctuary through Kashmir. The route is now open again after being damaged previously by constant rain in several places.

A total of 43,833 pilgrims have set out for the cave shrine from the Jammu base camp in seven separate groups since June 30. The journey is expected to end on August 31.
