"When They Return From Manipur...": BJP's Dare To Visiting Opposition MPs

At least 180 people have died since violence broke out in Manipur on May 3.New Delhi: A 21-member opposition delegation is currently in Manipur to investigate the situation there. Ethnic violence has been raging in the northeastern state for about three months. They stated that they would present the victims' testimonies to parliament.
After visiting a relief center, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said to reporters, "They are talking about investigations by CBI (into the crimes committed)... I would like to know if the central government has been sleeping up to this point.
The delegation will speak with representatives of both communities, according to TMC leader Sushmita Dev. The voices of everybody must be heard. We're going to talk to Kukis and Meiteis, too," she said.
The delegation also comprises Sushmita Dev of the Trinamool, Kanimozhi of the DMK, Manoj Kumar Jha of the RJD, and Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, the leader of the JDU.They are making their first trip to the state since the Opposition front INDIA was established.
They were there at the same time that Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey visited Churachandpur and spoke with victims, assuring them of the safety and support of the BJP-led central government and the state administration.
On a two-day tour, the opposition leaders arrived in Imphal this afternoon and took a helicopter to Churachandpur.They met Kuki tribe leaders, members of civic society, and women's organizations there, according to sources.Before returning to Imphal, the group met with Meitei community members and visited relief camps to meet with victims of violence, according to sources.
