Woman murdered with iron rod in South Delhi park, spurned lover arrested

A 25-year-old student at Shri Aurobindo College in Malviya Nagar was fatally struck in the head by an iron rod in a horrifying occurrence that occurred in broad daylight in a wealthy neighborhood of South Delhi.
It is thought that the assailant escorted the victim to the park. The attacker, Irfan, was detained after Delhi Police initiated an investigation and a murder complaint was filed.

"Today, there were two incidents: the first included a girl who was shot in Dabri, and the second involved another woman who was killed by an iron rod close to Aurbindo College.
I beg the Central government to convene a meeting to discuss women's safety in Delhi. DCW is aware of these events, and we are sending out notices in response, according to Swati Maliwal.
Malviya Nagar murder: Here is what we know so far
1. The murderer, Irfan, is connected to the victim and lives in Sangam Vihar. Irfan is a delivery driver.
2. The victim, who is a Muslim, stopped communicating with Irfan after his side's marriage proposal was rejected by the victim's family.
3. The victim and Irfan went to the park together on Friday, and Irfan then struck the victim with an iron rod. He left the rod there after that and left.
4. The victim's body was discovered in a pool of blood with her skull beaten by the police after they got information at 12:08 PM.
5. Three hours later, Irfan was apprehended.
