Breaking: Eiffel Tower evacuated after bomb threat, says French Police
According to officials, the Paris landmark and its immediate surroundings were evacuated as a precaution and a bomb squad was also dispatched.

After receiving a bomb threat, the famous Eiffel Tower in France was closed to the public on Saturday as a precaution, a French police source told news agency Reuters.The tower's three stories have all been evacuated.
A team of bomb disposal specialists and police are reportedly monitoring the area, including a restaurant on one of the levels, according to the authority that manages the property, SETE.According to a spokeswoman, "It's a usual procedure in this kind of situation, which is, however, rare," AFP said.
One of the most popular tourist destinations worldwide is the Eiffel Tower.
At the south pillar of the tower, there is a police station. Before allowing guests into the premises, authorities conduct video monitoring and security checks.
