German Minister Buys Veggies From Roadside With UPI. Priceless Reaction

The German embassy in India posted videos and images of Mr Wissing buying groceries and using UPI to make payments.

Volker Wissing, Germany's Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, had the opportunity to personally test the ease of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payments and was "fascinated" by the encounter. Mr. Wissing was seen using UPI to pay for his purchases in videos and pictures that were published by the German embassy in India.

Wissing, the federal minister for digital and transportation, was able to personally see the ease of UPI payments and was immediately fascinated.

Notably, India's quick payment mechanism is called Unified Payments Interface (UPI).It enables users to quickly make payments around-the-clock.It makes use of a Virtual Payment Address (VPA) that the customer has created.

India has collaborated with Sri Lanka, France, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore on cutting-edge fintech and payment technologies so far.Prime Minister Narendra Modi said earlier in July that France and India had decided to adopt the UPI payment system.
