'Isn't Rahul Gandhi, vacationing in Leh, shocked?': BJP reacts to Amethi claim

BJP downplayed Ajay Rai's announcement that Rahul Gandhi would contest from Amethi and said he (Rai) spoke too much in enthusiasm.

Rahul Gandhi will undoubtedly run from Amethi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, according to UPCongress head Ajay Rai, who made the declaration on Friday. However, BJP leader Amit Malviya argued Rai appeared to speak too enthusiastically.Amit Malviya tweeted, "Isn't Rahul Gandhi who is vacationing in Leh astonished after hearing Ajay Rai's declaration.

Malviya tweeted, "Now that you've announced Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, you should have also announced where Sonia Gandhi will be running."

Although anyone can run for office, kaushal Kishore, a BJP leader, advises against making predictions of victory."In a democracy, anyone from anywhere can run for office. However, it appears that Wayanad's residents have rejected Rahul Gandhi, which is why he is traveling to Amethi.They can enter from anyplace, but they shouldn't guarantee victory, Kishore added, according to a PTI report.





On Thursday, Ajay Rai was chosen to lead the UP Congress. The following day, he declared that Rahul Gandhi will run from Amethi and, if Priyanka Gandhi so chooses, from Varanasi."You see, this is what the residents of Amethi and the party members desire.They want Rahul Gandhi to make up for our errors there, and they'll help him win from Amethi with a huge margin, according to Ajay Rai, who made the statement.

"Priyanka Gandhi can choose to contest from any location. But she will have the complete support of all party members.Their (Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi) individual choice as to where to run for office.To assure their victory, we will perform to the best of our abilities.Ajay Rai, who ran in Varanasi against Narendra Modi in both the 2014 and 2019 elections, stated.
