According to Syrian official media, at least four Syrian soldiers were reportedly killed after Israeli airstrikes on early Monday morning struck regions near Damascus.
According to Syrian state media, which cited a military source, four further soldiers were hurt and "some material damage" was done as a result of the strikes.
The Israeli authorities, though, made no quick comments.
"The strikes targeted weapons and munitions warehouses and positions of Iran-backed militias around Damascus," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor with ties to the opposition, reported.
At least six people were reported dead and seven more injured.
According to the Observatory, Israel has now attacked Syria 22 times this year.
In recent years, Israel has launched hundreds of airstrikes on targets in government-controlled areas of the neighboring Syrian Arab Republic in an effort to halt Iranian entrenchment.
Over the past few years, Israel has also repeatedly attacked the international airports in Aleppo, a city in northern Syria, and Damascus.
