The Congress chief was attending an event in Chhattisgarh where he hit out at PM Modi for not responding to Rahul Gandhi's questions on Manipur violence.

Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the Congress, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday for his response in the Lok Sabha to the I.N.D.I.A. bloc's vote of no confidence in the federal government. He stated that the prime minister "rushed (former PM) Nehru, the Congress party...and claimed that Modi has done everything" in response to queries about the ethnic violence from Congressman Rahul Gandhi.

"Were the schools constructed after Modi took office?Regardless of what Modiji and (Amit) Shahji learned, they did so at government schools that we founded. At the 'Bharose Ka Sammelan' event hosted by the state Congress in Chhattisgarh, he remarked, "And they ask us what did the Congress party do in the last 70 years?"

After a three-day no-trust motion debate, PM Modi addressed the House in a lengthy speech in which he primarily criticised the Congress for its participation in the government ever since independence. He also poked fun at Rahul Gandhi by making fun of his "Mohabbat ki Dukaan" comment from his no-confidence speech.

"Someone mentioned doing 'dil se baat' yesterday. Their "Modi prem" is such that they dream about Modi. Congress has been continually launching a bad product, so I can see their dilemma. Every time, the launch fails," PM Modi stated.

Further criticizing PM Modi for equating the upheaval in Manipur with that in Chhattisgarh, Kharge enquired of the populace whether there was any similarity between the two states.

"PM Modi insulted the people of the state when he equated the Manipur event to the Chhattisgarh episode.PM is afraid to visit Manipur. He didn't go to Manipur because he is too preoccupied with political campaigns, the man claimed.
