PM Doesn't Understand the Pain of Manipur Women: Sharad Pawar
Sharad Pawar said, "The Prime Minister of India should have gone to Manipur but he didn't do that. He spoke about Manipur for 3 minutes before the session and only for 5 minutes during No-Confidence Motion"
Beed: Prominent opposition politician Sharad Pawar today criticized the Central government, the BJP, and Eknath Shinde's alliance government in Maharashtra, claiming that Prime Minister NarendraModi did not visit Manipur and spoke about it very briefly.
"In Manipur, there is a division among society, villages, people are attacking each other, houses are being burned, and women are being paraded naked but despite that, the BJP government does nothing," Mr. Pawar stated today, highlighting the fact that the state is responsible for upholding law and order.
Manipur has a "double-engine" administration in which the BJP also controls the state.
"The Indian Prime Minister ought to have visited Manipur, but he chose not to.At a rally in Beed, Maharashtra, he remarked, "He spoke about Manipur for 3 minutes before the session and only for 5 minutes during No-Confidence Motion.
Mr. Pawar, whose section of the Nationalist Congress Party was among those who launched a No-Confidence Motion against the Narendra Modi government, continued, "The Prime Minister didn't understand the pain of the women in Manipur." The purpose was to force the Prime Minister to address Manipur, which was a major demand of the Opposition that the government flatly refused to fulfill.
