"Chandrayaan-3 will launch on July 14 at 2:35 p.m., and if all goes well, it will land on August 23. The calculations will determine the date, which is dependent on the time of the moon's sunrise. If the calculations are off, however, we will have to postpone the landing until September, he added.

Isro integrated Chandrayaan-3's encapsulated assembly with the LVM3 launch vehicle on Wednesday at SDSC.
The chairman of ISRO, S. Somnath, had previously stated that the organization was aiming to launch its third lunar mission between July 13 and July 19.
"Chandrayaan-3 is nearly finished. Testing and final integration are almost finished. We want to do it a little later because there are still some unfinished testing. Two seats were open, one in February and the other in June. We would hope to launch in June of 2023," he had stated.
In order to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and wandering on the lunar surface, Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2.
The mission, according to the officials, carries scientific equipment to investigate the elements composition close to the landing location, lunar surface plasma environment, lunar seismicity, and the thermophysical properties of the lunar regolith.
