Raghav Chadha Responds To BJP's Crow Pic Tweet: "...Aisa Kalyug Aaega"

The picture was posted by the BJP on Twitter on Wednesday morning and started gaining traction.

In the photo tweeted by the BJP, Raghav Chadha was seen coming out of Parliament

Raghav Chadha, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), responded sharply to a BJP tweet that made fun of a picture of him being assaulted by a crow outside of Parliament.

The BJP posted the picture with the comment, "Jhooth bole kauwa kaate (if you lie, a crow will peck on you)," which is a well-known Hindi proverb.

Raghav Chadha is seen on the phone outside of Parliament in a montage of three images that the BJP published. Each image shows the AAP leader ducking as a crow is seen in various stages of swooping down to peck at his head.

Whether the image was taken during the current rainy season was not made clear by the BJP.

Raghav Chadha responded to the tweet by making a connection to the epic Ramayana as it gained popularity.

He wrote in his tweet, "Ramchandra keh gaye siya se aisa Kaljug aayega, hans chugega daana dunka kauwa moti khayega" (Lord Ram told Sita that the age of darkness would bring such a catastrophe upon humanity that a swan would devour grains and a crow would feast on pearls).

The discussion takes place at a time when various opposition parties have submitted notifications to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha requesting a discussion on the conflicts in Manipur after a viral video of women being paraded by a crowd last week sparked widespread indignation.

Mr. Chadha has requested a discussion in the Rajya Sabha, along with Congressmen Ranjeet Ranjan and Rajeev Shukla.

A no-confidence resolution against the BJP-led government at the national level was also announced by the opposition today, and Speaker Om Birla has accepted it. A date for the vote has not yet been disclosed by the speaker.
