6. The IMD predicts that Saurashtra and Kutch will continue to see light to moderate rain on July 24 and the Gujarat area on July 23, with isolated heavy to very severe rain. For Junagadh, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Kutch, Surat, Valsad, Navsari, and Surat, a red alert has been issued.

7. Flood-like conditions were experienced in Gujarat's Junagadh due to heavy rain. After the city received 241 mm of rain in just 12 hours, from Saturday evening at 8 p.m., it was apparent that scores of parked cars and cattle were being carried away in raging waters. Wading through waist-deep water to reach safer areas was observed. Volunteers saved several of them from being swept away by strong currents.
8. In the Union Territory neighboring Gujarat, near the Silvassa town of Dadra and Nagar Haveli district, a father and son pair drowned after their car swept away. On Friday night as they attempted to cross a low-lying bridge, the two were caught in swiftly flowing floods.
9. In the city of Navsari, a father and his son perished in a backed-up sewer. While the man was being rescued, efforts were being made to find the son, according to news agency PTI.
10. The MeT department also advised fishermen to stay away from the north Gujarat coast from July 22 to July 26 due to the likelihood of squally weather conditions.
