CM Yogi Adityanath slams West Bengal's government
The Mamata Banerjee administration came under fire from the head seer of the Gorakhnath Math (CM Yogi Adityanath) for "large-scale violence" during the West Bengal panchayat elections. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, claimed that the civic elections in Uttar Pradesh were conducted peacefully and questioned whether the Trinamool Congress "wants to make the country West Bengal."
There are those "who, after assuming power, want to control the entire system," the Chief Minister added, without specifically mentioning Trinamool Congress. Yogi Adityanath said that everyone has the right to run for office in reference to claims that numerous opposition candidates had their nominations for panchayat elections denied.
"People who talk a lot should consider how elections are conducted.Elections were held for panchayats, urban councils, and the legislature in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. What took place?Do they want to transform the nation into West Bengal in the same way that the TMC government did in that state (as well as the UP government)? "There is a difference," he said.
"We did not resort to pretence or hypocrisy"
"We didn't use deception or hypocrisy. Election opposition is a right that should be granted to everyone. They can run for office, and if they are qualified, they will prevail. It should be that way: if we are capable, we will win; if we are not, we will lose.
If the guy is a rival and competitive, he ought to prevail.A democratic right is this.We are unable to rob him of this, he continued.
"In West Bengal, opposition party members were killed. How could opposition have operated given what we witnessed in West Bengal? Opposition party employees were beaten. These items are illuminating. No one discusses this or makes a comment. Everybody is silent.

I've been CM for more than 6 years. Since 2017, there haven't been any riots in the state. In the previous six years, no curfew had been implemented, and all holidays had been joyfully observed, according to him.
He also discussed the government of Uttar Pradesh's bulldozing campaign against the state's mafia and criminal element.
