fter Haryana Violence, Bulldozer Action Takes Down 250 Shanties

Nuh violence: The Chief Minister had indicated two days back that bulldozer action will be taken in Haryana on the lines of Yogi Adityanath's Uttar Pradesh.

Haryana Nuh violence: More than 250 shanties were built in about one acre of land

New Delhi:  The Haryana government destroyed immigrant shanties last night for infringing on government property in Tauru, which is around 20 km from Nuh, which has been plagued by violence.

However, because both the district administration and the chief minister had earlier claimed that immigrants were involved in the altercations, the bulldozer maneuver is also being regarded as a response to accused rioters. Sources claim ManoharLalKhattar, the chief minister of Haryana, ordered the demolition.

A claim has been made that "illegal" immigrants from Bangladesh who had previously resided in Assam built shanties on property owned by the Haryana Urban Authority in Tauru town's Ward 1 along Mohammadpur Road.Over 250 shanties were constructed on a little over an acre of ground, and people have supposedly been living there for the past four years.

In preparation for riots, there was a significant police and paramilitary presence during the bulldozer operation. Several government department officers were also present.

Authorities claim that "outsiders," including alleged infiltrators, were responsible for the attack on the VHP march.

The Chief Minister previously stated that Haryana would follow Yogi Adityanath's UttarPradesh in using bulldozers.

On Wednesday late at night in Tauru, there was also an effort to vandalize two mosques.

This week, Friday prayers (jumma namaz) won't be said at Gurugram mosques. Muslim religious authorities have urged the populace to offer prayers from their residences.

When the racial clashes broke out, Nuh Superintendent of Police Varun Singla was on pre-approved leave. Yesterday, he was transferred to another district, and IPS officer Narendra Bijarniya, who had previously served as the district's police chief from February 2020 to October 2021, was appointed in his place.

Conflicts that started in Nuh over an attempt to halt a Vishva Hindu Parishad march and expanded to Gurugram over the past several days have claimed the lives of six persons, including two home guards and a cleric. Unruly mobs burned down a number of cars, restaurants, and stores.

In the state thus far, 176 people have been detained and over 90 have been arrested. There were 41 instances reported.

According to officials, mobile internet and SMS services that had been suspended in the Nuh district since 4 p.m. on Monday will resume from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. today to allow people to purchase necessities.

Seven First Information Reports, or FIRs, have been filed by the police in relation to inflammatory social media posts. They stated that 2,300 videos are being investigated. According to authorities, three accounts have been found that published provocative content on the day of the confrontations.
