‘He has no valid argument’: Kejriwal responds to Amit Shah's attack on Delhi ordinance bill

The opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc will not let the govt ‘succeed,’ the Delhi chief minister vowed.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah could not present a "single valid argument" in support of the Delhi ordinance bill, claimed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, in response to the former's Lok Sabha speech earlier in the day.

"Today, I heard Amit Shah ji''s Lok Sabha speech on the bill that robs the people of Delhi of their rights." He does not have a single compelling reason to support the bill. "He's just talking nonsense; he knows what he's doing is wrong," Kejriwal commented on X (previously Twitter) in Hindi.

The national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stated, "This bill will enslave the people of Delhi; it will render them helpless." This will never happen in India."

I.N.D.I.A. (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) is a coalition of 26 opposition parties, including the AAP, that have banded together to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, when both the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will seek re-election for a third consecutive term.

The INDIA bloc has branded the Delhi ordinance legislation a 'attack' on the country's federal system.
